Free Florida is about power, loyalty and the existential moment American democracy is forced to confront its many failings. It is based on the Th3rd Party novel series trilogy. At the center of the story is Pennsylvania Governor, Emma Michaels, the front runner to become the first woman President of the United States until her ex-husband is secretly recruited by a revolutionary billionaire to lead a secession movement that could tear the country apart. The total package, Emma is charismatic, brilliant, and politically magnetic. She is also relentlessly driven and disciplined. To demonstrate undying fealty to the party, Emma sacrificed her marriage to husband and best friend, Javier, who previously left a promising career in Republican politics to support her. Emma is threatened and confronted with three simultaneous, existential challenges: battling ruthless party chairman, Eddie Cobb, and internal forces over party power, fighting to save democratic values inflamed by the secession movement, and balancing love and betrayal driven by Javier’s divided loyalties. When Atlas coerces Javier into leading the secession movement, Emma’s greatest personal sacrifice becomes her greatest political threat; igniting a fierce battle with Cobb, who treats democracy like a private corporation.
